Cloudscape Floor Process
A full-stage cloudscape for Tammy Faye's Final Audition. Painted off-site, then dismantled, delivered & installed for show run. Estimated work time: 30 hrs.
Inlaid marble floor
Full stage inlaid marble floor pattern for "1984." Technique used a 3 color large scale paint spatter technique with a Hudson sprayed water and denatured alcohol displacement. Approximated solo work time: 18 hrs.
Calling All Kates Floor Process
Abstract runway floor. Wet blend gradient base, abstract rolled geometry, Hudson spray gradient overlay, finished with perspective linework.
Full-stage marble staircase unit for Santa Fe Opera's "Die Fledermaus." Process included 8ft pounce stencil patterns for consistency, sword strip brush veining, sponge & feature brushed detail, and many layers of ultra smooth high gloss varnish finish.
Percival von Schmootz Floor Process
Floor treatment for 'The Enlightenment of Percival von Schmootz." Black gloss base with white array linework, blue Hudson spray varnish, wood blocked "crayon-drawing" inspired sun shape, finished with distressed gold leaf.
Dune carving process
Custom fitted & carved bead foam sand dunes finished with elastomeric, shredded cork, and an 8 part spatter color finish. For Santa Fe Opera's "Alcina"

12th Night Woodgrain
Intermediate/Advanced woodgrain. Color matched to the on-stage piano finish, steps include hand-graining, check rolling, and various tinted glaze finishes.

Parquet Wood Sample
Wood sample and parquet pattern for "In The Next Room." The technique involved an intricate 3-color parquet pattern, and was based in a realistic texture coat in the matching pattern.
Parquet, tile, and hardwood planking process for "In The Next Room." Parquet floor involved base texture (in pattern) with 3 color wood finish. Pattern was broken down from reference for elevation using Adobe Illustrator. Tile work used 1/8" painters tape to mask the grout, and included a high gloss "ceramic" texture finish using denatured alcohol patina.
Wood Plank Floor
28 sheets of masonite were pre-painted in various distressed wood textures, then cut down and installed on stage for "Twelfth Night." Process includes roller scumbles, assorted random glaze & drybrush, and wood-grain rocker tools.
Spanish Tile Floor
Custom 2-color stencil (Adobe Illustrator, hand cut) for "Twelfth Night."
4-part custom stencil, layout, and exaggerated faux woodgrain process.
Dancing at Lughnasa Floor Process
OSB & luan planks washed to create interior hardwood and exterior abstract grass effects.
Carpet Stencil Process
Full-stage staircase & ground cloth for Santa Fe Opera's "Die Fledermaus." Base coat included 2 color roller texture, spatter, topped with a 3 part main stencil and 2 part border stencil.
3-color, 12 part custom 1970s wallpaper stencil with applied grunge. Designed in Adobe Illustrator (from reference) and cut using Cricut vinyl cutter.
Large Scale Wallpaper
Custom designed mirrored-mermaid nautical motif damask wallpaper stencil (Adobe Illustrator). Walls included multiple scales of the same repeat pattern: 4', 2', 1' to enhance the forced perspective angles of the set.
Translucent Wallpaper Process
After applying translucent base coats with an HVLP gun and brushed distress washes, a 3-step custom vinyl-cut stencil was used to apply an opaque wallpaper pattern for backlit scrim interiors of "Intimate Apparel."
Skid Row Environmental Signage
Over 30+ hand-painted advertisements & billboards hung above the set for Little Shop of Horrors. All at varying levels of distress and translated to black & white.

This Is Horror!! Billboard
Looming above the Skid Row flower shop in Little Shop of Horrors, this 6x18' B-movie billboard served as a backdrop for song & dance sequences through the show. Estimated solo work time: 18 hrs.
Little Shop Exterior Wall Process
Designed to mimic the black & white illustrative style of the original B-Movie, full-scale brickwork was painted to look like graphite sketches. Set included matching techniques on solid & transparent scrim walls.
